January 2026 Issue of St. Thomas Magazine

March on St. Thomas carries a fresh kind of energy...the season is still in full swing, but there’s a hint of Spring in the air and a calendar that’s quickly filling with reasons to get out and explore. Our March issue is a celebration of exactly that: island life in motion, experienced one unforgettable moment at a time.

This month’s issue opens with an Island Tour from West to East, an invitation to slow down and see St. Thomas the scenic way. From the rugged hillsides of the West End to the vibrant shores of the East End, we follow the coastline, highlighting favorite stops, hidden gems and the simple joy of taking the long way around.

At the heart of the issue is Friend or Foe?, our closer look at the ever-present Green Iguana. Equal parts photogenic and controversial, these prehistoric visitors have become part of the island story. We explore their impact, their reputation and why the conversation around them is more layered than it first appears.

We also dive beneath the surface with VI Dive & Snorkel, introducing a growing community built around shared ocean knowledge...from real-time conditions and species identification to promoting respectful practices in our waters. It’s a reminder that some of the island’s strongest connections are formed just below the surface.

The Beach Guide rounds out the issue with practical inspiration, spotlighting favorite snorkel spots, vibrant marine life and where to catch glimpses of migrating Humpback Whales. With insider tips on when and where to go; including how to time beach days around cruise schedules. It’s designed to help you experience the island more intentionally.

St. Thomas After Dark, nightlife guide

When the sun dips below the horizon, the island is just getting started. In St. Thomas…after sunset, we spotlight the live music, friendly neighborhood bars and easygoing cocktail lounges that keep the good vibes flowing well into the evening. Whether you’re in the mood for a laid-back acoustic set, a lively bar scene or a cozy spot for after-dinner conversation, this guide helps you find your perfect nightcap...island style.

Of course, March wouldn’t be complete without a full calendar of ways to get out and enjoy island life.
